The '''Banska river'''  ({{langx|bg|Банска река}}), also known as '''Dobrichka reka'''  ({{langx|bg|Добричка река}})  is a river in [Haskovo Province](/source/Haskovo_Province), southeastern [Bulgaria](/source/Bulgaria). The Banska springs out from the base of St.Elias Peak(801.3 m)<ref>{{Cite web |last=Желязков |first=Ведрин |title=Bulgaria TOPO map |url=http://web.uni-plovdiv.bg/vedrin/details/K-35-075-1.html |access-date=2022-12-30 |website=web.uni-plovdiv.bg |language=bulgarian}}</ref>  at 686 m altitude in the [Eastern Rhodopes](/source/Eastern_Rhodopes). It passes through  the villages of [Susam](/source/Susam_(village)), [Tatarevo](/source/Tatarevo%2C_Haskovo_Province), [Garvanovo](/source/Garvanovo), [Klokotnitsa](/source/Klokotnitsa_(Haskovo)), [Kasnakovo](/source/Kasnakovo) and [Dobrich](/source/Dobrich%2C_Haskovo_Province). Between Tatarevo and Garvanovo it forms the [Boaza Gorge](/source/Boaza_Gorge). The river flows into the [Maritsa](/source/Maritsa) near [Dimitrovgrad](/source/Dimitrovgrad%2C_Bulgaria) as a right tributary.<ref name="haskovocom"/>

In 1230 the [Battle of Klokotnitsa](/source/Battle_of_Klokotnitsa) occurred near the banks of the river.<ref name="haskovocom"/>

The Banska River is inhabited by a large number of fish species, including the [Mullet](/source/Mullet_(fish)), [Danube Bleak](/source/Danube_Bleak), the [Carassius](/source/Carassius), [Vimba](/source/Vimba_vimba) and the [Common Nase](/source/Common_Nase).<ref name="haskovocom"/>
