# Banka Cheema

**Banka Cheema** (pronounced: ***Beanka Cheema*** and Benka Chima)[2][3] is a village and [union council](/source/Union_Councils_of_Pakistan) of [Wazirabad Tehsil](/source/Wazirabad_Tehsil), [Gujranwala District](/source/Gujranwala_District), in [Pakistan](/source/Pakistan)'s [Punjab province](/source/Punjab,_Pakistan).[4] A post office is functional in Banka Cheema by [Pakistan Post](/source/Pakistan_Post) under [Government of Pakistan](/source/Government_of_Pakistan).[5] Government Primary School Banka Cheema[6][7] and Government Girls High School (GGHS) Banka Cheema[8] of the [Government of Punjab](/source/Government_of_Punjab,_Pakistan) under the [Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala](/source/Board_of_Intermediate_and_Secondary_Education,_Gujranwala) are functional in the village. The only way to reach Banka Cheema is by road. 97% population of the town is [Muslim](/source/Muslim).[citation needed].
