**Bang Bon Tai** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): บางบอนใต้, pronounced [\[bāːŋ bɔ̄ːn tâːj\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Thai)) is a *[khwaeng](/source/Khwaeng)* (subdistrict) of [Bang Bon District](/source/Bang_Bon_District), in [Bangkok](/source/Bangkok), [Thailand](/source/Thailand). It was one of the thirteen newly established khwaeng announced on the 26th of July 2017.[2]

In 2020, it had a total population of 24,860 people.[3]

## Transportation

### Rail

Bang Bon Tai is connected with *Maha Chai* (downtown [Samut Sakhon](/source/Samut_Sakhon)) by the [Maeklong Railway](/source/Maeklong_Railway) of the [State Railway of Thailand](/source/State_Railway_of_Thailand) (SRT). Bang Bon, Kan Kheha, Rang Sakae (defunct), [Rang Pho](/source/Rang_Pho_railway_station), Sam Yaek and Phromdaen are the stations of the area. They were all located on the border with their neighbouring [Samae Dam](/source/Samae_Dam) of [Bang Khun Thian District](/source/Bang_Khun_Thian_District).

### Road

Bang Bon Tai is connected to Maha Chai by [Ekkachai Road](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ekkachai_Road&action=edit&redlink=1) (Highway 3242). [Kanchanaphisek Road](/source/Kanchanaphisek_Road) (Outer Ring Road) also passes the area.
