# Ban Chang, Chiang Mai

**Ban Chang** (Thai: บ้านช้าง) is a *[tambon](/source/Tambon)* (sub-district) of [Mae Taeng District](/source/Amphoe_Mae_Taeng), in [Chiang Mai Province](/source/Chiang_Mai_Province), [Thailand](/source/Thailand).[1][failed verification] In 2005, it had a population of 5,488 people. The *tambon* contains five villages.
