**Bamilo** was an [E-commerce](/source/E-commerce) [marketplace](/source/Online_marketplace) [start-up](/source/Startup_company) in [Iran](/source/Iran)[1]

It was founded by Ramtin Monazahian,[2] a German-Iranian with degrees in business and economics and previous work experience in consulting and investment banking companies.[3]

Bamilo was the first and largest venture of the Iran Internet Group (IIG), backed by [MTN Group](/source/MTN_Group). Other IIG ventures include [Snapp](/source/Snapp_(company)), Snappfood, Snapptrip, and Zoodroom.[4][5]

Bamilo localized [Black Friday](/source/Black_Friday_(shopping)) as "Harajome", and set up the country's largest online shopping campaign, challenging the monopoly that was prevalent before its market entry.[4]
