# Balling, Denmark

**Balling** is a town, with a population of 1,154 (1 January 2025),[1] in [Skive Municipality](/source/Skive_Municipality), [Central Denmark Region](/source/Central_Denmark_Region) in [Denmark](/source/Denmark). It is situated on the [Salling](/source/Salling) peninsula 34 km northeast of [Holstebro](/source/Holstebro) and 12 km northwest of [Skive](/source/Skive,_Denmark).

Balling Church is located north of the town. It is built of [ashlar](/source/Ashlar) and consist of a [Romanesque](/source/Romanesque_architecture) [chancel](/source/Chancel) and [nave](/source/Nave) with three extensions.[2]
