**Bale Messenger** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): پیام‌رسان بانکی بله, *Yes*) is an Iranian [instant messaging](/source/Instant_messaging) (IM), [voice-over-IP](/source/Voice_over_IP) (VoIP) service, [social media](/source/Social_media) platform, and [mobile payment](/source/Mobile_payment) [app](/source/Mobile_app) developed by the [National Bank of Iran](/source/Bank_Melli_Iran).[2]

## History

Bale was launched in December 2016, with the goal of providing a secure and versatile [messaging service](/source/Instant_messaging) that integrates financial transactions.[3][4] The platform preserves user data, transferring all personal information—including chat history, files, contacts, and media—to new devices without requiring a backup.[3][5][6]
