**Baillarge Bay** is an [Arctic](/source/Arctic) waterway in the [Qikiqtaaluk Region](/source/Qikiqtaaluk_Region), [Nunavut](/source/Nunavut), Canada. It is the second waterway to press eastward from [Admiralty Inlet](/source/Admiralty_Inlet_(Nunavut)) into [Baffin Island](/source/Baffin_Island). The southern point of its mouth is named Ship Point.

## Geography

Characterized by open sea, coastal cliffs, and rocky marine shore habitat, the elevation rises up to 610 m (2,000 ft) [above sea level](/source/Height_above_mean_sea_level).

## Fauna

The uninhabited bay is a Canadian [Important Bird Area](/source/Important_Bird_Area) (#NU067) stretching 15 km (9.3 mi) up the coastline to [Elwin Inlet](/source/Elwin_Inlet).[2] It is also an [International Biological Program](/source/International_Biological_Program) site (Region 9, #7-7) and [Key Migratory Bird Terrestrial Habitat site](/source/Key_Habitat_Site) (NU Site 19).[3]

A sizeable population of [northern fulmars](/source/Northern_fulmar) are found here. [Caribou](/source/Reindeer), [polar bears](/source/Polar_bear), and [walruses](/source/Walrus), as well as [harp seals](/source/Harp_seal), [ringed seals](/source/Ringed_seal), and [beluga whales](/source/Beluga_whale) frequent the area.
