'''Baggrow''' is a small village situated north of the [Lake District](/source/Lake_District) [National Park](/source/National_parks_of_England_and_Wales) in the English county of [Cumbria](/source/Cumbria), historically within [Cumberland](/source/Cumberland).

In many parts of the village views of England's 4th highest peak [Skiddaw](/source/Skiddaw), standing 931 metres (3053 ft) above sea level, can be seen to the south east, some {{convert|9.5|mi|km|abbr=on|0}} away.

==Governance==
The village is in the [parliamentary constituency](/source/United_Kingdom_Parliament_constituencies) of [Penrith and Solway](/source/Penrith_and_Solway_(UK_Parliament_constituency)).

For [Local Government](/source/Local_Government) purposes it is in the [Cumberland](/source/Cumberland_(unitary_authority)) [unitary authority area](/source/Unitary_authorities_of_England).

Baggrow does not have its own [parish council](/source/Parish_councils_in_England), instead it is part of Allhallows Parish Council. [Baggrow railway station](/source/Baggrow_railway_station) was a stop along the Bolton Loop of the [Maryport and Carlisle Railway](/source/Maryport_and_Carlisle_Railway) which used to run through the village serving the Brayton Knowle Colliery<ref>[http://www.dmm.org.uk/colliery/b082.htm Durham Mining Museum - Brayton Knowle Colliery<!-- Bot generated title -->]</ref> here, and the mine at nearby Mealsgate.
