# Bad Abbach

**Bad Abbach** (baːt ˈabax) is a municipality in the district of [Kelheim](/source/Kelheim_(district)), [Bavaria](/source/Bavaria), Germany. Due to its sulphurous springs it has the status of a [spa town](/source/Spa_town).

[Henry II, Holy Roman Emperor](/source/Henry_II,_Holy_Roman_Emperor) was born here in 973 AD.
