# Ayo Tsalithaba

**Ayo Tsalithaba** is a Canadian multimedia artist and filmmaker based in [Toronto](/source/Toronto), [Ontario](/source/Ontario).[1] They are most noted for their performance in the short film *[Gender Reveal](/source/Gender_Reveal_(film))*,[2] for which they received a [Canadian Screen Award](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award) nomination for [Best Performance in a Live Action Short Drama](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Performance_in_a_Live_Action_Short_Drama) at the [13th Canadian Screen Awards](/source/13th_Canadian_Screen_Awards) in 2025.[3]

As an artist, they work principally in film and video, as well as some work in photography, illustration and graphic design.[4] Their work has included [music videos](/source/Music_video) for artists such as [Bernice](/source/Bernice_(band)), [Tika Simone](/source/Tika_Simone), [Queer Songbook Orchestra](/source/Queer_Songbook_Orchestra), [Myst Milano](/source/Myst_Milano) and [DijahSB](/source/DijahSB), as well as short narrative and documentary films and videos. In 2023, Tsalithaba and [Pat Mills](/source/Pat_Mills_(director)) co-directed a [Heritage Minute](/source/Heritage_Minute) about American-Canadian singer [Jackie Shane](/source/Jackie_Shane).[5]
