==Playing career==
Williams played for [Western Province](/source/Western_Province_(rugby_team)) in the South African provincial competitions. He gained two caps for the [Springboks](/source/Springboks) in June 1984, both against [England](/source/1984_England_rugby_union_tour_of_South_Africa).
