== Geography ==

The locality was officially named and bounded on 9 July 1999.<ref name=qpnl/>

The nearest government secondary schools are [Mary Valley State College](/source/Mary_Valley_State_College) (to Year 10) in [Imbil](/source/Imbil) to the north-east, [Toogoolawah State High School](/source/Toogoolawah_State_High_School) (to Year 12) in [Toogoolawah](/source/Toogoolawah) to the south, and [Nanango State High School](/source/Nanango_State_High_School) (to Year 12) in Nanango to the west.
