# Avital Selinger

**Avital Haim Selinger** (Hebrew: אביטל חיים סלינגר; born 10 March 1959) is a [volleyball](/source/Volleyball) coach and former volleyball player. Selinger played for the [Netherlands men's national volleyball team](/source/Netherlands_men's_national_volleyball_team) at the [1988 Summer Olympics](/source/1988_Summer_Olympics) in [Seoul](/source/Seoul) and the [1992 Summer Olympics](/source/1992_Summer_Olympics) in [Barcelona](/source/Barcelona), where he won a silver medal.[1]

## Coaching

After taking the command as head coach of the Swiss club [Voléro Zürich](/source/Vol%C3%A9ro_Z%C3%BCrich) in April 2015,[2] Selinger guided them to the bronze medal at the [2015 FIVB Club World Championship](/source/2015_FIVB_Volleyball_Women's_Club_World_Championship) in [Zürich](/source/Z%C3%BCrich).[3]

## Personal life

Selinger is the son of volleyball coach and former player [Arie Selinger](/source/Arie_Selinger).[1]
