==Biography==
Wortzman was born in [Beersheba](/source/Beersheba). He studied at the [Bnei Akiva](/source/Bnei_Akiva)-affiliated Ohel Shlomo [yeshiva](/source/yeshiva) in Beersheba and the [Mercaz HaRav Kook](/source/Mercaz_HaRav_Kook) yeshiva in [Jerusalem](/source/Jerusalem). During his [national service](/source/national_service) in the [IDF](/source/Israeli_Defense_Forces) he served in the [Givati Brigade](/source/Givati_Brigade), and was also based at the [Hesder](/source/Hesder) [Yeshivat Or Etzion](/source/Yeshivat_Or_Etzion).
After his army service he returned to Beersheba and founded the Beit Moria [Garin Torani](/source/Garin_Torani) in 1993, which worked in the education sector.
