# Authentic Records

**Authentic Records** is an [independent record label](/source/Independent_record_label) based in [Des Moines](/source/Des_Moines), [Iowa](/source/Iowa). It was created by the band [The Nadas](/source/The_Nadas)[1] and has signed a number of rock artists, particularly in the Midwest.
