**Austnes**[3] is a village in [Haram Municipality](/source/Haram_Municipality) in [Møre og Romsdal](/source/M%C3%B8re_og_Romsdal) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). It is located on the southeast side of the island of [Haramsøya](/source/Harams%C3%B8ya), about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) southwest of the village of [Longva](/source/Longva) via the [Ullasund Bridge](/source/Ullasund_Bridge). The [Ulla lighthouse](/source/Ulla_lighthouse) is located about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to the north of Austnes.[4] The historic [Haram Church](/source/Haram_Church) is located in Austnes.

The 0.53-square-kilometre (130-acre) village has a population (2024) of 382 and a [population density](/source/Population_density) of 721 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,870/sq mi).[1]

The [Nordøyvegen](/source/Nord%C3%B8yvegen) bridge and tunnel network was completed in 2022 and it connected Austnes to the islands of [Lepsøya](/source/Leps%C3%B8ya) and the mainland via the [Haramsfjord Tunnel](/source/Haramsfjord_Tunnel).[5]
