Canonical URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Austin_Price > Markdown URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Austin_Price.md > Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Price > Source revision: 1354560443 > License: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) **Austin Price** (born September 16, 1995) is an American [basketball](/source/Basketball) player who plays for [Pelister](/source/KK_Pelister) of the [Macedonian League](/source/Macedonian_First_League_(basketball)). ## Early life Price was born in [Indianapolis, Indiana](/source/Indianapolis,_Indiana), moved to Detroit when he was a sophomore in high school, and his hometown is [Farmington Hills, Michigan](/source/Farmington_Hills,_Michigan).[1][2][3] He is 6-4, 185 pounds (193 cm, 83 kg).[2][3] He attended high school at [Detroit Country Day](/source/Detroit_Country_Day) (2013) in [Michigan](/source/Michigan).[2] Price played for the high school basketball team as a [combo guard](/source/Combo_guard) and team captain.[4][5] As a junior, Price averaged 16 points, five assists, and two steals per game.[5] As a senior he was team captain.[6] Academically, he had a 3.65 [GPA](/source/GPA).[4] ## College Price attended [Lehigh University](/source/Lehigh_University) (2017), majoring in Finance.[2][4] He was a member of the [Kappa Alpha Psi](/source/Kappa_Alpha_Psi) fraternity.[7] He played basketball for the [Lehigh Mountain Hawks basketball team](/source/Lehigh_Mountain_Hawks_men's_basketball) in the [Patriot League](/source/Patriot_League).[2] As a freshman in 2013-14, he was named to the Patriot League All-Rookie Team, and to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.[4] As a junior in 2015-16 he was second in the league with 55 steals and 1.7 steals per game, and was named third team All-Patriot League.[2][4] As a senior in 2016-17 he was third in the league with 74 three-point field goals, and was again named third team All-Patriot League.[2][4] He ended his Lehigh career second in school history with 240 three-pointers, and 13th in scoring with 1,453 points.[4] ## Professional career After college Price played for the [Köping Stars](/source/K%C3%B6ping_Stars) in Sweden's second division, and was named Import Player of the Year (as the top player not from Sweden).[8] In 2018–19 he played with [Limburg United](/source/Limburg_United) in the [Pro Basketball League](/source/Pro_Basketball_League), the top league in Belgium.[8] In 2019–20 he played with [BC Beroe](/source/BC_Beroe) in the Bulgarian [National Basketball League](/source/National_Basketball_League_(Bulgaria)), and averaged 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.[8] He started the 2020–21 season with [Maccabi Ra'anana](/source/Maccabi_Ra'anana) of the [Israeli National League](/source/Liga_Leumit_(basketball)), and in 13 games averaged 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.[9] From March 2021, Price played guard for [Ironi Nes Ziona](/source/Ironi_Nes_Ziona) in the [Israeli Premier Basketball League](/source/Israeli_Premier_Basketball_League).[10][11] He helped the team win the [2020–21 FIBA Europe Cup](/source/2020%E2%80%9321_FIBA_Europe_Cup) championship. On July 20, 2021, Price signed a one-year contract with [Heroes Den Bosch](/source/Heroes_Den_Bosch) in the Netherlands.[12] He won the [Dutch national championship](/source/List_of_Dutch_basketball_champions) in the 2021–22 season.
