The **Austin Open** was a [golf](/source/Golf) tournament on the [Nike Tour](/source/Nike_Tour). It ran from 1997 to 1998 and was played at The Hills Country Club in [Austin, Texas](/source/Austin%2C_Texas).

[Eric Booker](/source/Eric_Booker_(golfer)) won the inaugural event that was rain-shortened to 36 holes.[1][2] [Michael Allen](/source/Michael_Allen_(golfer)) won the second and final event.[3][4]
