He was born on 30 November 1976 in Attredgeville, a township of [Pretoria](/source/Pretoria), South Africa to a family of politicians. At a very young age, he joined the television program ''Legae la bana''. In 2010, he made his film debut with the film ''[Life, Above All](/source/Life%2C_Above_All)''.
