## Distribution and habitat

The silvermouth trevally is found in the [Indo-Pacific](/source/Indo-Pacific) in the western and central [Pacific Ocean](/source/Pacific_Ocean). Its range is from [New Guinea](/source/New_Guinea), northern [Australia](/source/Australia), the [Philippines](/source/Philippines), and Pacific islands in the western and central [Pacific Ocean](/source/Pacific_Ocean).[2]

## Description

Adults can grow up to 50 centimetres (20 in).[2]
