(Original description in Latin) The shell is glassy, disc-shaped, broadly keeled, extremely thin, and translucent. The [spire](/source/Spire_(mollusc)) is depressed and flattened. There are six [whorl](/source/Whorl_(mollusc))s, which are convex-depressed, with the [body whorl](/source/body_whorl) being keeled. The [aperture](/source/Aperture_(mollusc)) is ovate-acute, slightly reflected at the back, and at the front, it is tapered and deeply split; the peristome (the lip of the shell) is thin and sharp.

The [operculum](/source/Operculum_(gastropod)) is glassy, oval, thin, translucent, and has only a few spirals. <ref>{{cite book |last1=Souleyet |first1=L.F.A. |title=Souleye Tome Deuxième.
