**Aston Bay** is an [Arctic](/source/Arctic) waterway in the [Qikiqtaaluk Region](/source/Qikiqtaaluk_Region) of [Nunavut](/source/Nunavut), Canada. It is an arm of [Peel Sound](/source/Peel_Sound) and is located on the western side of [Somerset Island](/source/Somerset_Island_(Nunavut)).[2] It is located north of [M'Clure Bay](/source/M'Clure_Bay). The closest hamlet is [Resolute](/source/Resolute%2C_Nunavut), located about 150 km (93 mi) to the north on [Cornwallis Island](/source/Cornwallis_Island_(Nunavut)).[3]

## Geography

A zone of zinc-silver mineralization is located on [tidewater](/source/Tidelands) upon a peninsula that juts into the bay.[3]

## History

There are Early [Arctic small tool tradition](/source/Arctic_small_tool_tradition) and [Thule](/source/Thule_people) archaeological sites in the area.[4]
