**Assolo** ([Sardinian](/source/Sardinian_language): ***Assolu***) is a village and *[comune](/source/Comune)* (municipality) in the [Province of Oristano](/source/Province_of_Oristano) in the autonomous island region of [Sardinia](/source/Sardinia) in [Italy](/source/Italy), located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) north of [Cagliari](/source/Cagliari) and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of [Oristano](/source/Oristano). It has 321 inhabitants.[4][5]

Assolo borders the municipalities of [Albagiara](/source/Albagiara), [Genoni](/source/Genoni), [Nureci](/source/Nureci), [Senis](/source/Senis), and [Villa Sant'Antonio](/source/Villa_Sant'Antonio).

## Demographics

As of 2026, the population is 321, of which 52.3% are male, and 47.7% are female. Minors make up 10% of the population, and seniors make up 35.8%.[6][7]
