Ashley Frazier, daughter of Greg and Nancy Frazier, is from [Oregon, Ohio](/source/Oregon%2C_Ohio). She graduated from [Central Catholic High School (Toledo, Ohio)](/source/Central_Catholic_High_School_(Toledo%2C_Ohio)) in 2008. ===High school===

===College===
Frazier started her collegiate career in 2008 with the [University of Alabama](/source/University_of_Alabama) [Crimson Tide](/source/Alabama_Crimson_Tide_women's_volleyball). By her sophomore year, she had a career-high 20 kill game, was named the [SEC](/source/Southeastern_Conference) Offensive Player of the Week on September 21 and Collegiate Volleyball Update National Player of the Week, on September 22.<ref>http://www.cvu.com/content.aspx?season=women&type=news-one&storyID=2009-09-22-pow#.V9se9YYrKUk CVU Player of the Week</ref> She finished the 2009 season with four [double-doubles](/source/Double_(volleyball)).

In 2010, Ashley transferred to [University of Kentucky](/source/University_of_Kentucky) and played for coach [Craig Skinner](/source/Craig_Skinner_(volleyball)) as a University of [Kentucky Wildcat](/source/Kentucky_Wildcats). She [redshirted](/source/Redshirt_(college_sports)) the 2010 season and picked back up for her 2011 redshirt junior year. In her first playing season at UK, Ashley appeared in all 34 of the team's matches and led with 3.22 kills per set. 25 of those matches included 10 or more kills. In her Senior Year (2012), Ashley served as team captain.
