**Arash Andreas Pournouri** (born 28 August 1981) bka **Ash Pournouri** is an [Iranian-Swedish](/source/Swedish_Iranians) [record producer](/source/Record_producer), [music executive](/source/Music_executive), and [businessman](/source/Businessperson).[1]

## Career

While he is best known as the former manager for [Avicii](/source/Avicii), their artist-manager relationship ended in December 2016.[2] Pournouri is also known for co-writing the lyrics to [Cazzette's](/source/Cazzette) song, “Beam Me Up”.[3] He owns the music label [PRMD Music](/source/PRMD_Music) and the booking agency At Night Management.[4][5] He appeared in the documentary film *[Avicii: True Stories](/source/Avicii%3A_True_Stories)*.[6]

In 2014, Pournouri was awarded as MVP (Most Valuable Person) at the Denniz Pop Awards founded by [Denniz Pop](/source/Denniz_Pop).[7]

Pournouri along with Spotify founder [Daniel Ek](/source/Daniel_Ek) are the creators of the tech convention Symposium.[6] He has also owned and ran several restaurant and bars in [Norway](/source/Norway) and arranged club nights in [Stockholm](/source/Stockholm).[8] On 9 July 2015, he was the presenter for [Sommar i P1](/source/Sommar_i_P1) on [Sveriges Radio](/source/Sveriges_Radio).[9] In 2017, Pournouri founded Self Made International: a company that hosted a contest for "aspiring and unsigned artists to build a following by uploading performance videos onto the platform that are then voted on by the public...". The winner of the contest would land a "50-50 record deal on [PRMD Music]... and $25,000 in prize money".[10][11] He is one of the founders of Brilliant Minds.[12] In 2018, he along with Brilliant Minds arranged a conference at [Grand Hotel](/source/Grand_H%C3%B4tel_(Stockholm)) in Stockholm where [Barack Obama](/source/Barack_Obama) attended.[12] In 2019, Pournouri became part owner of the video platform Triller.[13]

### Non-music industry ventures

Pournouri co-founded a health company called "Shewy" which provides subscribers vitamin and mineral enriched [chewing gum](/source/Chewing_gum) packs.[14] and a food company called "Oatlaws" which provides pudding containing "pea protein, cocoa and oats."[15] In February 2021, the company received [pre-seed](/source/Pre-seed) investors such as [Kelly Gale](/source/Kelly_Gale) and Jonas Fagerström.[16]

Pournouri is a judge on [Idol 2024](/source/Idol_2024_(Sweden)) which is broadcast on [TV4](/source/TV4_(Swedish_TV_channel)).[17]

## Personal life

Pournouri graduated with a [Master of Laws](/source/Master_of_Laws) degree from [Stockholm University](/source/Stockholm_University) in 2006.[18][19][20]
