Asbeel was listed as the second of five chief angels or "[satan](/source/satan)s" who led astray the [Grigori](/source/Watcher_(angel)) by falling in love with humans. There were also [Yeqon](/source/Yeqon) (or [Yaqum](/source/Yaqum_(angel)), "he shall rise"), [Gadreel](/source/Gadreel) ("wall of God"), [Penemue](/source/Penemue) ("the inside"), and [Kasdaye](/source/Tamiel) ("[Chaldea](/source/Chaldea)n", "covered hand").{{cn|date=November 2025}}
