The '''Asan Invasion Beach''' is a historic site in the village of [Asan, Guam](/source/Asan%2C_Guam). The beaches of Asan were one of the landing sites of American forces in the 1944 [Battle of Guam](/source/Battle_of_Guam_(1944)), in which the island was retaken from occupying Japanese forces. The designated historic site includes the beaches extending between [Asan Point](/source/Asan_Point) and [Adelup Point](/source/Adelup_Point) and extends inland roughly to [Guam Highway 1](/source/Guam_Highway_1). It also includes the water area extending from the beach to the reef, about {{convert|100|m|ft}} out, an area that includes at least one abandoned Allied landing vehicle.<ref name=NRHP>{{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=75001913}}|title=NRHP nomination for Agat Invasion Beach|publisher=National Park Service|accessdate=2015-04-21}}</ref>

The beaches, fortifications, and water out to the reef were listed on the [National Register of Historic Places](/source/National_Register_of_Historic_Places) in 1979.<ref name="nris"/> Portions of them are part of the '''Asan Beach Unit''' of the [War in the Pacific National Historical Park](/source/War_in_the_Pacific_National_Historical_Park), which includes a public access point at Asan Point. Just east of this is '''Memorial Beach Park''', a municipal beachfront park that was listed on the National Register in 1974.

== Conservation ==
In 2024, the [National Park Service](/source/National_Park_Service) began a project in the Asan Beach Unit to create a refuge for [Guam's imperiled native birds](/source/List_of_birds_of_Guam), by recruiting volunteers to remove invasive [brown tree snakes](/source/Brown_tree_snake) from the park. The site is an ideal area for snake exclusion since it is surrounded by ocean and highway.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2024 |title=Brown Treesnake Research and Control |url=https://home.nps.gov/wapa/learn/nature/brown-treesnake-research-and-control.htm |access-date=2025-03-10 |website=National Park Service}}</ref>
