# Arvada Chorale

The **Arvada Chorale** is a community [chorus](/source/Choir) from [Arvada, Colorado](/source/Arvada,_Colorado). The Chorale performs a wide variety of [classical](/source/Classical_music), holiday, [contemporary](/source/Contemporary_music), and [jazz](/source/Jazz) music. The Chorale was founded in 1977 as a project of the [Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities](/source/Arvada_Center_for_the_Arts_and_Humanities), and became an independent 501c3 [non-profit](/source/Non-profit) corporation in 2009. The Arvada Chorale has performed with several prominent [musical ensembles](/source/Musical_ensemble) from the [Denver](/source/Denver) area, including the [Lakewood Symphony](/source/Lakewood_Symphony), the [Rocky Mountain Ringers](/source/Rocky_Mountain_Ringers), and Colcannon. The Chorale is composed of about 70 singers in the [SATB](/source/SATB) arrangement. The role of Music Director for the Fall 2015 season has been taken over by Marla Wasson.
