# Arthur Siddall

**Arthur Siddall** (born 1943) is a retired [Anglican](/source/Anglican) [priest](/source/Priest).[1]

Siddall was educated at [Lancaster University](/source/Lancaster_University) and [ordained](/source/Ordained) in 1968.[2] He was a [curate](/source/Curate) at Holy Trinity [Formby](/source/Formby) and All Saints' [Childwall](/source/Childwall) before five years as a [Church Mission Society](/source/Church_Mission_Society) [missionary](/source/Missionary) in [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). On his return to [England](/source/England) he held [incumbencies](/source/Vicar) at St Paul's [Clitheroe](/source/Clitheroe) and [St Gabriel's](/source/St_Gabriel's_Church,_Blackburn) [Blackburn](/source/Blackburn). He was [Deputy Secretary](/source/Secretary) to [The Mission to Seafarers](/source/The_Mission_to_Seafarers) from 1990 to 1993 and then [Vicar](/source/Vicar) of [St Bartholomew's, Chipping](/source/St_Bartholomew's_Church,_Chipping), before his appointment as [Archdeacon](/source/Archdeacon) of [Italy](/source/Italy) and [Malta](/source/Malta) in 2005. In 2007 he additionally became Archdeacon of Switzerland.[3] He retired in 2009.
