'''Arkha''' ({{langx|hi|अरखा}}) was a zamindari whose leader RamGulam Singh at the time of British held a title of a [Taluqdar](/source/Taluqdar) which was given by the British Administration. However,  Arkha joined [Rana Beni Madho Singh](/source/Rana_Beni_Madho) of Shankarpur in the struggle against the [British Raj](/source/British_Raj) in [United Provinces of Agra and Oudh](/source/United_Provinces_of_Agra_and_Oudh). In October 1920, [Baba Ram Chandra](/source/Baba_Ram_Chandra) came to Raebareli and established a [Kisan Sabha](/source/Kisan_Sabha_(1919-1922)) in Arkha and Rasoolpur (Salon). Kissan Andolan of 1920-21 is written in golden letters in the history of [Indian National Movement](/source/Indian_National_Movement). In [Non-Cooperation Movement](/source/Non-Cooperation_Movement) of 1930, Raebareli was the first in U.P to give a lead to Namak Satyagrah and the people of Arkha were involved in the movement.
