**Ardal** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): اردل)[a] is a city in the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Ardal_County)) of [Ardal County](/source/Ardal_County), Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[5]

### Ethnicity

The city is populated by [Lurs](/source/Lurs).[6]\

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 8,162 in 1,767 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 8,992 people in 2,025 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 10,113 people in 2,642 households.[3]
