# Arctic Song

***Arctic Song*** is a Canadian animated short film, directed by Germaine Arnattaujuq, Neil Christopher and Louise Flaherty and released in 2022.[1] The film illustrates the traditional [creation myth](/source/Creation_myth) in [Inuit culture](/source/Inuit_culture), depicting the creation of the land, the sea and the sky.[1]

The film premiered in February 2022 at the [Available Light Film Festival](/source/Available_Light_Film_Festival).[1]

The film was a [Canadian Screen Award](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award) nominee for [Best Animated Short](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Animated_Short) at the [11th Canadian Screen Awards](/source/11th_Canadian_Screen_Awards) in 2023.[2]
