# Arch Knott

**Archibald Knott** (2 February 1916 – 16 April 1998) was an [Australian rules footballer](/source/Australian_rules_football) who played for the [Fitzroy Football Club](/source/Fitzroy_Football_Club) and [St Kilda Football Club](/source/St_Kilda_Football_Club) in the [Victorian Football League](/source/Australian_Football_League) (VFL), the modern day Australian Football League.[1]

Knott's brother [Dan Knott](/source/Dan_Knott_(footballer)) also played VFL football, for , while his brother [George](/source/George_Knott) represented Australia at the [1948 Summer Olympics](/source/1948_Summer_Olympics) in London.[2]
