**Araya Marilyn Roxanne Dennis** (born 11 January 2006) is an English professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for [Women's Super League](/source/Women's_Super_League) club [Tottenham Hotspur](/source/Tottenham_Hotspur_W.F.C.). A product of the [Arsenal Academy](/source/Arsenal_W.F.C._Academy), she previously played on loan for [National League](/source/FA_Women's_National_League) side [Watford](/source/Watford_W.F.C.), as well as [Women's Super League 2](/source/Women's_Super_League_2) sides [Crystal Palace](/source/Crystal_Palace_W.F.C.) and [Southampton F.C.](/source/Southampton_F.C._Women) Dennis has represented England at international youth level.

## Club career

### Arsenal and loan spells

Dennis is a product of the [Arsenal Academy](/source/Arsenal_W.F.C._Academy) having scored 4 goals in 18 appearances for the academy team.[4] She trained with the Arsenal first team prior to a two month spell with [National League South](/source/National_League_South) side [Watford](/source/Watford_F.C._Women), under dual registration for the [2022–23 season](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_FA_Women's_National_League#Southern_Division),[5] where she featured in three games, scoring one goal.[2]

On 2 September 2023, Dennis joined [Women's Championship](/source/Women's_Championship) club [Crystal Palace](/source/Crystal_Palace_F.C._(Women)) on dual registration for the [2023–24](/source/2023%E2%80%9324_Women's_Championship) season,[5] and scored on her debut with the club the next day in a 2–1 win against [Birmingham City](/source/Birmingham_City_W.F.C.).[6] In October, she was awarded the Women's Championship Goal of the Month, for her long-range effort from 35-yards out against [Charlton Athletic](/source/Charlton_Athletic_W.F.C.).[7][8]

### Tottenham Hotspur

In February 2024, having played at the [2nd and 3rd levels](/source/Women's_football_in_England#Pyramid) of women's football in England, Dennis signed a two-year contract with [Women's Super League](/source/Women's_Super_League) club [Tottenham Hotspur](/source/Tottenham_Hotspur_F.C._Women) in the top tier.[9]

On 2 October 2024, she made her senior debut for Tottenham in the opening group stage match of the [2024–25 League Cup](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Women's_League_Cup) against Charlton Athletic, coming on as a 67 minute substitute.[10] On 11 December, aged 18, Dennis scored her debut goal for the club in a 2–0 victory over Crystal Palace in the final group stage match,[11] helping Tottenham to secure a place in the quarter-finals.[12] Her performance was described as impressive by [VAVEL](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=VAVEL&action=edit&redlink=1) and Spurs manager [Robert Vilahamn](/source/Robert_Vilahamn).[13]

On 5 February 2026, Dennis signed a new long term contract with the club.[14]

#### Southampton (loan)

On 10 January 2025, Dennis joined Women's Championship club [Southampton](/source/Southampton_F.C._Women) on loan for the remainder of the [2024–25 Women's Championship](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Women's_Championship).[15]

## International career

Dennis was part of the [England under-17](/source/England_women's_national_under-17_football_team) team that played in the [2023 U17 Championship](/source/2023_UEFA_Women's_Under-17_Championship) up until the [semi-finals](/source/2023_UEFA_Women's_Under-17_Championship#Semi-finals) in May, where the youth team were defeated 3–1 by [Spain](/source/Spain_women's_national_under-17_football_team).[9][16]

On 20 September 2023, she scored her youth international debut goals for the [England under-19s](/source/England_women's_national_under-19_football_team), with a brace in a friendly fixture against [Denmark](/source/Denmark_women's_national_under-19_football_team) resulting in a 5–0 victory.[17]

In July 2024, Dennis featured in the [2024 UEFA Under-19 Championship](/source/2024_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship) for the under-19s, providing an assist for the final goal against Lithuania as a 70th minute substitute.[18][19]

For [2025 U19 Championship qualification](/source/2025_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship_qualification) in November and December 2024, she featured as a defender in all first round matches against [Turkey](/source/Turkey_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[20] [Italy](/source/Italy_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[21] and [Poland](/source/Poland_women's_national_under-19_football_team)**.**[22]

## Style of play

Dennis is a [winger](/source/Winger_(association_football)) who contributes across the pitch. At the age of 17 she was described by *Imeptus Football* as a young talent who "displays an intelligence of the game way beyond her young age"; with the ability to easily escape tight spaces, draw opposition, and run channels.[23]

Crystal Palace described the forward as a fast-paced and "attack-minded right-sided player".[5] For England at youth level, she has covered at left-back from the right-wing position,[24] and played as a defender in the [number 2](/source/Squad_number_(association_football)#England) position.[20]
