# Anuradha Chavan

**Anuradha Atul Chavan** (born 1972)[1] is an Indian politician from [Maharashtra](/source/Maharashtra). She was elected to the [Maharashtra Legislative Assembly](/source/Maharashtra_Legislative_Assembly) from [Phulambri](/source/Phulambri_Assembly_constituency) as a member of the [Bharatiya Janata Party](/source/Bharatiya_Janata_Party).[2][3][4]

## Early life and education

Anuradha is from [Phulambari](/source/Phulambri), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District, Maharashtra. She married Atul Chavan, an employee of public works department in Pune division.[5] She completed her bachelor of arts in 1995 at [Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University](/source/Dr._Babasaheb_Ambedkar_Marathwada_University), Aurangabad.[1] She used to run a beauty parlour.[1]

## Career

Anuradha won from [Phulambri Assembly constituency](/source/Phulambri_Assembly_constituency) representing the Bharatiya Janata Party in the [2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election](/source/2024_Maharashtra_Legislative_Assembly_election). She polled 135,046 votes and defeated her nearest rival, Autade Vilas Keshavrao of the [Indian National Congress](/source/Indian_National_Congress), by a margin of 32,501 votes.[6][7]
