# Anthony Floyd

**Anthony Franklin Floyd** (born February 1, 1981) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [safety](/source/Safety_(football_position)) for the [Indianapolis Colts](/source/Indianapolis_Colts) of the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL).[1] He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Louisville Cardinals](/source/Louisville_Cardinals_football). He spent the 2006 [NFL Europe](/source/NFL_Europe) season with the [Berlin Thunder](/source/Berlin_Thunder), where he earned All-NFL Europe honors after making four [interceptions](/source/Interception), tied for second in the league. He spent the 2006 NFL preseason with the [Houston Texans](/source/Houston_Texans) before being released at the conclusion of training camp.

## Early life

Floyd attended [Chaney High School](/source/Chaney_High_School_(Youngstown,_Ohio)) in [Youngstown, Ohio](/source/Youngstown,_Ohio), and earned three [varsity letters](/source/Varsity_letters) together in football and [basketball](/source/Basketball), and four in [track](/source/Track_and_field).
