***Anthene opalina***, the **opal hairtail**, is a [butterfly](/source/Butterfly) in the family [Lycaenidae](/source/Lycaenidae). It is found in southern [Ethiopia](/source/Ethiopia), [Somalia](/source/Somalia), northern and eastern [Kenya](/source/Kenya) and [Tanzania](/source/Tanzania) ([Dar es Salaam](/source/Dar_es_Salaam)).[2] The habitat consists of dry savanna.
