# Anthene millari

***Anthene millari***, or **Millar's hairtail**, is a [butterfly](/source/Butterfly) of the family [Lycaenidae](/source/Lycaenidae). It is found in [South Africa](/source/South_Africa) and [Malawi](/source/Malawi). In South Africa, it is found in the [Eastern Cape](/source/Eastern_Cape), the [KwaZulu-Natal](/source/KwaZulu-Natal) midlands, [Gauteng](/source/Gauteng), [Mpumalanga](/source/Mpumalanga) and [Limpopo](/source/Limpopo).

The [wingspan](/source/Wingspan) is 21–24 mm for males and 22–28 mm for females. Adults are on wing from October to January, with a peak in November. There is a single extended generation per year.[2]

The larvae probably feed on *[Kalanchoe](/source/Kalanchoe)* and *[Cotyledon](/source/Cotyledon)* species.
