It is found in the [Democratic Republic of Congo](/source/Democratic_Republic_of_Congo) (Uele, Ituri and Tanganika), [Angola](/source/Angola), [Uganda](/source/Uganda), [Tanzania](/source/Tanzania), and western [Kenya](/source/Kenya).[2] The habitat consists of primary forests.
