# Antajave

**Antajave** or **Antajawi** (possibly from [Quechua](/source/Quechua_language) *anta* copper and [Aymara](/source/Aymara_language) *jawi* wool or fleece of wool,[1][2] also spelled *Antajave*) is a 5,390-metre (17,680-foot) mountain in the north of the Barroso mountain range in the [Andes](/source/Andes) of southern [Peru](/source/Peru). It is situated in the [Tacna Region](/source/Tacna_Region), [Tarata Province](/source/Tarata_Province), [Tarata District](/source/Tarata_District). It lies north of [Incapachata](/source/Incapachata) and southeast of [Purupuruni](/source/Purupuruni).[3]
