**Anne Kirkpatrick** (born 4 July 1952) is an [Australian country music](/source/Australian_country_music) singer. She is the daughter of country singers [Slim Dusty](/source/Slim_Dusty) and [Joy McKean](/source/Joy_McKean).[1]

## Biography

She also has a brother, David Kirkpatrick, who is an accomplished singer-songwriter.[2] The year 1964 saw the establishment of the annual Slim Dusty Australia-round tour, a 48,280 kilometres (30,000 mi) journey that went on for ten months. This regular event was the subject of a feature film, *[The Slim Dusty Movie](/source/The_Slim_Dusty_Movie)*, in 1984, which includes several performances featuring Anne Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick also features in the 2020 Australian documentary *[Slim and I](/source/Slim_and_I)*.

Kirkpatrick has won Golden Guitar Awards at the [Tamworth Country Music Festival](/source/Tamworth_Country_Music_Festival) in 1979, 1991, and twice in 1992. She also won an [ARIA Award](/source/ARIA_Award) for Best Australian Country Record in 1992.[3] and appeared on the 1990 compilation album *[Breaking Ground - New Directions in Country Music](/source/Breaking_Ground_-_New_Directions_in_Country_Music)* which was nominated for the 1991 [ARIA Award](/source/ARIA_Awards) for [Best Country Album](/source/ARIA_Award_for_Best_Country_Album).[3]

In 2010, Kirkpatrick was inducted into the [Australian Roll of Renown](/source/Australian_Roll_of_Renown).[4]

### Australian Roll of Renown

The [Australian Roll of Renown](/source/Australian_Roll_of_Renown) honours Australian and New Zealander musicians who have shaped the music industry by making a significant and lasting contribution to Country Music.
