# Anne Bailey Colombo

**Anne Elizabeth Bailey Colombo** (May 23, 1997), also known as **Anne Bailey Colombo**, is an American professional [soccer](/source/Women's_association_football) player, who plays as a [goalkeeper](/source/Goalkeeper_(association_football)) for [Fenerbahçe S.K.](/source/Fenerbah%C3%A7e_S.K._(women's_football)) in the [Turkish Women's Football Super League](/source/Turkish_Women's_Football_Super_League).[1]

## Early years

Competing in the [Baseline League](/source/Baseline_League) of the [California Interscholastic Federation](/source/California_Interscholastic_Federation) (CIF), she helped her high school team become champion in 2012, and she was named "[MVP](/source/Most_valuable_player)" of the tournament.[2]

During her university years, she was a member of the [college soccer](/source/College_soccer_in_the_United_States) team [UC Riverside Highlanders](/source/UC_Riverside_Highlanders#Women's_soccer) from 2016 to 2019.[2] In 2018, she was mentioned by her coach as a candidate of turning pro thanks to her nationwide fifth rank as a goalkeeper.[3]

## Club career

Between 2021 and 2022, she played in Iceland for [Fjarðabyggð/Höttur/Leiknir](/source/Knattspyrnuf%C3%A9lag_Fjar%C3%B0abygg%C3%B0ar) in the league [2. deild kvenn](/source/2._deild_kvenna_(football)).[4][5][6]

In July 2023, she moved to Turkey and signed with the [Istanbul](/source/Istanbul)-based club [Fenerbahçe S.K.](/source/Fenerbah%C3%A7e_S.K._(women's_football)) to play in the [Super League](/source/Turkish_Women's_Football_Super_League).[4]

She is 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) tall, and plays as [goalkeeper](/source/Goalkeeper_(association_football)).[2]

## Personal life

Anne Elizabeth Bailey was born to Sean, a goalkeeper coach, and Lisa Bailey in [Rancho Cucamonga, California](/source/Rancho_Cucamonga,_California), United States on May 23, 1997.[2][7]

After graduating from [Los Osos High School](/source/Los_Osos_High_School), she studied at the [University of California, Riverside](/source/University_of_California,_Riverside) between 2015 and 2019.[2]
