==Career==
===AKB48===
Iriyama started her career in the entertainment industry when in March 2010 she passed the 10th generation audition for the trainee section of the girl group [AKB48](/source/AKB48). She debuted with AKB48 in June of the same year when she started performing in the AKB48 Theater.<ref name="modelpress20140526">{{cite news |url= http://mdpr.jp/news/detail/1367044 |title=AKB48入山杏奈が襲われ負傷 グループ随一の才色兼備、ドラマに映画初主演…これまでの活動とは. |publisher= Model Press |date= 2014-05-26 |language= ja}}</ref>

She participated in that year's AKB48 general elections, but did not rank.<ref name="modelpress20140526" /> In July 2011, she was promoted to AKB48's Team 4, thus becoming a full member of AKB48.<ref name="modelpress20140526" />

On December 17, 2011, Iriyama and two other AKB48 members, [Ami Maeda](/source/Ami_Maeda) and [Rena Katō](/source/Rena_Kat%C5%8D), held a large autograph-signing event in [Hong Kong](/source/Hong_Kong). The venue was packed with 6,000 people.<ref>{{cite news |url= http://www.recordchina.co.jp/group.php?groupid=57055 |title= AKB48前田亜美、入山杏奈、加藤玲奈が登場！

In 2012, on the AKB48 single "[Manatsu no Sounds Good!](/source/Manatsu_no_Sounds_Good!)", Iriyama made her first ''senbatsu'' appearance (meaning that she was selected to participate on the A-side of an AKB48 single for the first time). Despite that, she again did not rank in the AKB48 general elections for the year.<ref name="modelpress20140526" />

In September, together with [Rina Kawaei](/source/Rina_Kawaei) and [Rena Kato](/source/Rena_Kato), she became a member of an AKB48 subgroup named Anrire.<ref name="modelpress20140526" /> On October 17, 2012, the subgroup released a single titled "Ikujinashi Masquerade" together with [Rino Sashihara](/source/Rino_Sashihara),<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.sanspo.com/geino/news/20120925/akb12092506240002-n1.html|date=2012-09-25|publisher=[Sankei Sports](/source/Sankei_Sports)|language=ja|script-title=ja:さしこは端っこ…ソロなのに後輩ユニットと一緒|access-date=2012-11-27|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130604161440/http://www.sanspo.com/geino/news/20120925/akb12092506240002-n1.html|archive-date=2013-06-04|url-status=dead}}</ref> which charted at number one in the Japanese [Oricon](/source/Oricon) weekly singles chart.<ref name="oricon20121023">{{cite web|url=http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/rankmusic/2017997/full/|title=【オリコン】さしこ、ソロ2作目で初首位 AKB関連ソロ3人目|date=2012-10-23|publisher=[Oricon](/source/Oricon)|language=ja|access-date=2015-12-26}}</ref>

In April 2013, Iriyama scored the highest in a general knowledge test called ''Mechaike AKB Kimatsu Test'', held by the television show ''[Mecha-Mecha Iketeru!](/source/Mecha-Mecha_Iketeru!)''.<ref name="modelpress20140526" /> In the AKB48 election held in the same year, she ranked in the 30th place.<ref name="modelpress20140526" />
