Ghosh debuted in film acting through her role in Soudagor (1982), directed by F. Ghosh acted in around 50 films.<ref name=ojana/> Her co-actors included [Abdur Razzak](/source/Abdur_Razzak_(actor)), [Zafar Iqbal](/source/Zafar_Iqbal_(actor)), [Wasim](/source/Wasim_(actor)) and [Ilias Kanchan](/source/Ilias_Kanchan) from Bangladesh and [Ranjit Mallick](/source/Ranjit_Mallick), [Chiranjeet Chakraborty](/source/Chiranjeet_Chakraborty) and [Prosenjit Chatterjee](/source/Prosenjit_Chatterjee) from India.<ref name=ojana/>
