AnimeClick.it is an amateur site founded at the end of 1998 as a side branch of a local web portal called VeronaClick.<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.aulamanga.it/manga/aggiornamenti/marzo2006/taccan.htm|title=Sono il webmaster del sito www.animeclick.it.|date=February 21, 2009}}</ref> It has published its first news on October 4, 1999.
