# Angermeans

***Angermeans*** is the third full-length album by the [Californian](/source/California) [hardcore](/source/Hardcore_punk) band [Strife](/source/Strife_(band)).[2][3] It was released in 2001 on [Victory Records](/source/Victory_Records).

## Critical reception

The *[Daily Herald](/source/Daily_Herald_(Arlington_Heights,_Illinois))* called the album "vicious," writing that it "has as much Slayer as Agnostic Front in its lineage."[4] [AllMusic](/source/AllMusic) wrote that it "is not just a comeback for the band, it's a long-overdue kick in the butt for a whole [hardcore] movement as well."[5]
