# Angelos Pavlakakis

**Angelos Pavlakakis** (Greek: Άγγελος Παυλακάκης; born 7 November 1976 in [Xanthi](/source/Xanthi))[1] is a retired [Greek](/source/Greece) sprinter who specialized in the [100 metres](/source/100_metres).

He won the bronze medal at the [1995 European Junior Championships](/source/1995_European_Junior_Championships_in_Athletics),[2] the gold medals at the [1997 Mediterranean Games](/source/1997_Mediterranean_Games)[3] and the [1998 European Indoor Championships](/source/1998_European_Indoor_Athletics_Championships) and the bronze medal at the [2000 European Indoor Championships](/source/2000_European_Indoor_Athletics_Championships). He also competed at the [2000 Olympic Games](/source/Athletics_at_the_2000_Summer_Olympics_-_Men's_100_metres), the [1997 World Championships](/source/1997_World_Championships_in_Athletics) and the World Indoor Championships in [1997](/source/1997_IAAF_World_Indoor_Championships), [2001](/source/2001_IAAF_World_Indoor_Championships) and [2004](/source/2004_IAAF_World_Indoor_Championships) without reaching the final.

His personal best time was 10.11 seconds, achieved at the [1997 World Championships](/source/1997_World_Championships_in_Athletics) in [Athens](/source/Athens). This is the Greek record.[4]
