# Angelo Parisi

**Angelo Parisi** (born 3 January 1953 in [Arpino](/source/Arpino), [Frosinone](/source/Frosinone), Italy) is a French [judoka](/source/Judoka) and olympic champion. He won a gold medal in the [heavyweight division](/source/Judo_at_the_1980_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_%2B95_kg) at the [1980 Summer Olympics](/source/Judo_at_the_1980_Summer_Olympics) in Moscow.[1] At his Olympic debut in [1972](/source/Judo_at_the_1972_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_Open) he represented Great Britain.[2] Parisi holds the 8th dan degree.
