Mazzoni was the eighth fencer, and the first Italian fencer, to compete at six Olympics. He was the third Italian, after [Piero](/source/Piero_D'Inzeo) and [Raimondo D'Inzeo](/source/Raimondo_D'Inzeo), to compete at six Olympics.
